 Aion System Requirements

Aion System Requirements

Here are the system requirements for playing Aion. As I’m sure you’ll notice, it’s quite forgiving and you will not need a brand new machine to run it, despite the great graphics it offers.

Minimum:

  • Windows 98SE/2000/XP/Vista
  • AMD Athlon 2400 or Intel Pentium 4 2,4 Ghz
  • 512MB RAM
  • Graphic Card 128 MB compatibile with DirectX 9
  • Sound Card 128 MB compatibile with DirectX 9
  • DirectX 9
  • 4x DVD-ROM or 16x CD-ROM
  • 5 GB free space on hard disk
  • Broadband link with downlink 512kbps

Recommended:

  • Windows 2000/XP/Vista
  • AMD Athlon 64 3000 or Intel CoreDuo 4000
  • 1GB RAM
  • Graphic Card GeForce 6600 or ATI Radeon X1550 256 MB
  • Sound Card Sound Blaster Audigy
  • DirectX 9
  • 16x DVD or 32x CD-ROM
  • 18 Gb free space on hard disk
  • Broadband link with uplink 256kbps, downlink 1024kbps

Aion WingsIn practice, minimum configuration will let you “fly” on minimum details, in resolution 1024×768 but on options making details better turned off. Locations loading will be still heavy.

With the recomended configuration you’ll be able to play on resolution 1024×768 on high details or 1280×1024 on medium details. 1GB RAM should be enough for a smooth loading of new locations. However, if you want to feel the real power of game and its engine you will need a really good PC.

If you’re looking to upgrate your PC, your priority should be a good graphics card, a better CPU and more memory, in that order. When you’ll enter big fights like castle wars, having low FPS (frames per second) is common with low-end PCs, so the sooner you upgrade the better. Also note the uncommonly high connection requirements: I’m sure that won’t be a problem but it’s worth mentioning.

can nvidia geforce2 400mx/fx my fiend gots it

  2. step says:

I have a 6200 video card and on wow i have 30 fps with it, so is it good enough to play aion?

    • frank says:

You’ll most likely be able to run Aion fine, but I’m betting the FPS will be lower, especially with many players around. I suggest trying out the open beta, there’s bound to be a lot of players especially at starting areas, so you should be able to see the performance.

      • step says:

How do I get a beta client and account and don’t you have to be a beta tester for that?

(ps)If it’s so bad i would have to get a new computer first.

  3. step says:

And how much fps would you i would have? Cause I’m on a holiday, so I can’t use my own computer richt now.

    • frank says:

I’d say below 20 fps, but it’s just a guess.

You can find client download links here. There’s two ways you can get a beta key, you can either preorder or check out for some websites giving away beta keys (usually by the time you notice they will already run out but you never know).

      • step says:

But how do I make an aaccount and when I have the real game, how do I ubdate th
account to a real account? And what do I do with the client then?

        • YuanNinja says:

its a beta account, so it will not transfer over into a real one. it’s for testing, not to give people a head start. Since the material is being tested, they will be releasing a finalized client, so you will likely just delete your beta client.

          Agreed YuanNinja.
          Here’s how this works.
          _
Alpha – a very select group, often employees or sub companies hired by NCSoft to test the games structure, and errors. Alpha toons are free Exp, money, gear, etc etc. Toons are wiped after Alpha is over.
          _
Closed Beta – limited private keys are given. And some Alpha users continue to test. Again, toons are wiped after CB is over.
          _
Open Beta – FREE to the public for a limited time. This has no, repeat, no link to your account, should you have one with NCSoft. Toons are wiped again after this event is over.
          _
Pre-order / Pre-select – You pay a down payment or full amt for the game. Set up your account online, and in return, are given a key… this is your account key. You have just bought yourself a few extra perks for a larger cost than the public version of the game. Often, after a few weeks, the perks are not so special anymore. For pre-orders, you get to log into the game on the 18th, and create your toons… up to 8. You can not start the game play, as those servers are offline. You also get some trinkety items… ring, hat, and a necklace. As a special bonus, you get to log into the game 2 full days early from public release, and play the game ahead of everyone else.
          _
NCSoft has decided from open beta, to simply use the launcher client along with GG to update your “version” of the game, so the version software matches that of the public release… I.e.; Version 1.5.0.5

  10. Hey Frank or somebody else,

    I’m running AION on a E6600 Intel 2.4ghz. (core2)
    2GB of Kingston
    and a Nvidia Geforce 7900GTX 512MB.

I play on the lowest settings and still in battles and normal questing and stuff i get like 40 fps.

But when I start up my computer I get a message telling me that my powersupply is not giving my graphics card enough power to use it at its max portential, if I bought a new powersupply that does give enough power, think that would do it?

    KLUTCHER.
